Three Pups And Their Mom Are Rescued From The Harsh Siberian Winter

A mother will do anything for her babies, even if it means going to strangers for assistance.

In Siberia, winters can be harsh with low temperatures and tons of snowfall. It is certainly not the right type of place for a stray to raise its children.

One particular mom was trying her best to shield her pups from the harsh environment through the shelter of a drain pipe. Locals saw her and reached out to Dog Rescue Shelter, which is the largest no-kill shelter in Siberia. Two of their rescuers went out to try and find the dogs but were greeted by snow covering most of the pipes.

They suddenly noticed that one pipe wasn’t covered, and they saw paw prints in the snow. When the rescuers stepped off the van, the stray ran up to them for help. The mom wagged her tail when the men started petting her. Help was here, and she couldn’t be happier and relieved.

They peeked into the pipe and saw all three pups huddled together. The rescuers tried to persuade the puppies to go out, but they were too afraid. They placed the mama in the van for the meantime to warm her up; they also named her Hera.

After rescuing all of the pups, they were reunited with their mom. Everybody went back to the shelter, and the dogs got a warm place to sleep and food. They are sure to get all the medical care needed and will never need to go hungry.

Mom Hera thanked the rescuers by wagging her tail energetically and by a wave of kisses. The pups, two boys, and a girl, along with their mom, will soon be available for adoption.

The shelter right now has more than 300 cats and dogs, all waiting for their forever homes. They won’t be euthanized for more space, and all will be cared for until finding the perfect homes.
